@Sharu.

Once upon a time, driving out fear seemed like a magnanimous task, but today, now, in this minute, I know the damn thing you feel is only in your head. Fear does not exist until you give it life. Otherwise, it is dead. It is expired!

Business leadership is the capacity of the management of a business to set and accomplish ambitious targets, take quick and decisive steps when appropriate, outpace the competition and encourage everyone to compete at the highest level they can. It can be hard to recognize a value on a company's leadership or other contextual factors that are widely exercised.

Individual leadership may further refer to a more comprehensive approach, as the manager sets his/her fellowmen in tone of the company culture that management builds. Leadership often means leading by example for colleagues to follow, being enthusiastic (charisma) about the job, being inspired to learn new skills, and seeking out to assist them in both individual and team activities as needed.

Once, Iconic football player and coach Vince Lombardi commented “Leaders are made, they are not born. They are made by hard effort, which is the price which all of us must pay to achieve any goal that is worthwhile.” Behavioral theories consider that by the method of instruction, training and observation, individuals can become leaders. Because leadership is a collection of qualities that can be learned over time through preparation, understanding, practice and experience. Leadership coaching is something that lasts for life.

Strong leadership requires showing a fantastic character. Leaders demonstrate trustworthiness, reliability, dignity and ethics. Leaders behave according to how they talk and exhibits themselves responsible for the performance of those in the business. Such an acceptance of responsibility by the leader gives confidence to the colleagues to accept risk and experiment new initiatives without fear.

Effective communication skills entail good leadership. Leaders prefer to chat and listen to team members in an informal manner and address questions, concerns with compassion for formal requirements. Leaders use strong communication strategies to push the business forward and achieve new success rates.

Real leadership identifies where the enterprise is heading and prepares the required measures to get around. Leaders are mostly expected to imagine what's feasible, follow market trends and take risks to develop the company. Prominent corporate leaders such as Warren Buffet, Bill Gates, Steve Jobs and Jack Welch have influenced their businesses and the economy in general.

Indeed, the primary issue of leadership is that we often miss to find answers to some questions such as only a very few are taking the time to consider our mission and vision for the future; only a handful of us commit to discovering how to communicate our special strengths and abilities; only some of us are prepared to pay the required price towards becoming a leader. As with all other skills, leadership is built through deliberate practice. The aim of deliberate practice is to take risks, strive, extend yourself and move out of your shell a bit. We all have a shell to hide. Step out of it to make a deliberate step forward. Leadership is not a reputation rather a responsibility.

I have some scattered ideas on honesty. Because honesty lies on a spectrum. It has extreme sides and neutral ones. You can either be extremely honest or else just be honest whenever you feel like. Honesty is a choice. Sometimes we are forced to say lies for the sake of a good purpose. So, the choice is delicate. Your intention justifies the integrity of your lies. This may seem to be an ironical statement. Yet it is what we see around.

Honesty is an abstract concept that helps in building character. It is all about finding courage to do the right thing. But it should not be to acquire appreciation. Such a kind of thirst to show others that you are a trustworthy person can sometimes encourage you to do wrongs when nobody is watching.

Very often, I have seen people finding difficulty in explaining the reason why they have done certain things. It might be reasonable from their perspective. Things that others don’t understand. These are difficult times we hide unexplainable matters from dear ones or far ones, just because they don’t understand our views. Afterall good intentions justify some lies. This is an instance that puts light on different faces of truth. Not just one truth, there can be different truths. Occasionally, man fails to apprehend these different faces of truth. Hence, it is not up to us to judge whether a person is honest or not. They might have a different version of honesty that we don’t see. Ultimately, we have to be responsible only for our truths.

But what is the cost of being honest. There are times when some truths can cost everything we have. We are people who have something to lose. It can be our family, reputation, certificates or life itself. Sometimes we chose to say lies in order to protect any of them. This is the extreme end of the spectrum. It means staying honest to the core is not as easy job.

On the other side, honesty, often pulls away iron curtains hindering loyal relationships. It is the purest as well as the hardest way of maintaining a lovable and respectful character.

In this greedy world, people no more value honesty important than fame. We live in a world that normalizes lies in the name of profit, believing that all sacrifices of our morals are for our own better futures. In fact, anything that is built on lies shall not remain intact for long. It is momentary.

Honesty is like an antique coin. On selling it you can earn a greater monetary benefit. It may give u happiness for a short period of time. That money shall wither away soon. But if you hold on to your antique coin, it becomes more valuable with every day. It will turn up priceless in the future. Never sell your honesty, whatever it takes.

Determination is not about achieving something beyond our capability but it is an attempt to break fetters that hold us back. There are only two things that hold us back – lack of persistence and forgotten gratitude. Persistence and gratitude sum up determination. Persistence reflects a strong will to make things great whereas gratitude is the desire not to fail anyone who has contributed to our life. It could be our family, friends or society at large. Because we were moulded and spirited by the people around us. Every time we do something it can have ripple effect on them too. Hence, gratitude is a lovely quality of being thankful to all the people around us.

As I said earlier, determination cannot exist without pondering the capability one has. Ralph Waldo Emerson puts light on this idea, “A man is a hero not because he is braver than others but because he is brave for ten minutes longer.” We lose our determination at times when we remember our own mistakes and flaws. It’s time we forgive ourselves. Gratitude can help us there. It is the same like giving ourselves an opportunity to prove. To prove that ‘I can do better today than yesterday’. Gratitude helps us keep the wheel rolling forward. And building that strong will to ride along conceives persistence. Gratitude lays the foundation and persistence becomes the building blocks of determination.
